Marissa Lelii, Esquire

Associate

Before joining Maven Law, Marissa served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joelle Hitch of the Delaware Family Court. Through her clerkship, she gained valuable insight into a wide range of family law matters and the legal and personal complexities families face when navigating the court system.

Marissa took a non-traditional path to earning her Juris Doctor, attending Widener University Delaware Law School through its part-time Evening Extended Division program while working full-time. During her final two years of law school, she worked as a law clerk at a Delaware insurance defense firm, where she gained experience in civil litigation.

While in law school, Marissa participated in the Dignity Rights Clinic, through which she contributed to Dignity in the Criminal Legal System: A Policy Guide for Advocacy and Reform. She also served as a research assistant to Professor Emerita Erin Daly.

Marissa’s connection to Delaware began well before law school. She graduated from St. Elizabeth High School and has continued to strengthen her ties to the state through her education and professional experiences. She looks forward to beginning the next chapter of her career at Maven Law and serving individuals and families throughout Delaware.
