Tia Johnson

Summer Associate

Tia Johnson is a first-generation law student and rising 2L at Widener University Delaware Law School with a strong interest in litigation. Originally from Ohio, she chose to pursue her legal education in Delaware to take advantage of its dynamic legal market. During law school, Tia has worked part-time at Discover Financial Services, where she has developed strong time management and organizational skills while balancing academic and professional responsibilities. She finished her first semester in the top 10% of her class and was recently elected President of the Black Law Students Association for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Maria Cruz Flores

Summer Associate

Maria Cruz Flores is a first-year law student at Delaware Law School, where she serves as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Liaison for the Latin American Law Students Association. Born in Mexico and raised in Pennsylvania, Maria is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to effectively connect with and assist clients from diverse backgrounds.

Prior to attending law school, Maria worked as a bilingual real estate paralegal at Ward & Taylor, LLC, where she assisted with residential real estate transactions. She also served as an immigration legal assistant at Sweet & Paciorek LLC, supporting attorneys and clients with family-based immigration petitions, waivers, and visa applications. Through these experiences, Maria developed strong communication skills and gained valuable experience navigating complex legal matters with compassion and attention to detail.

Maria is passionate about building a legal career focused on client advocacy and guiding individuals and families through challenging and transitional periods in their lives. Outside of her legal studies, she enjoys volunteering with organizations such as the Garage Youth Center and Mighty Writers, as well as staying active through fitness and Pilates.
