Welcoming Our New Summer Associates and Paralegal to the Maven Law Team

At Maven Law, LLC, we are proud to continue growing our team with talented, compassionate, and driven individuals who share our commitment to exceptional client service and thoughtful legal advocacy. This summer, we are excited to welcome two summer associates and a new paralegal who each bring unique experiences, perspectives, and enthusiasm to our practice.

Welcome, Maria Cruz Flores – Summer Associate

Maria Cruz Flores joins Maven Law as a Summer Associate beginning June 1. Maria is a first-year law student at Delaware Law School, where she serves as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Liaison for the Latin American Law Students Association.

Born in Mexico and raised in Pennsylvania, Maria is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with and assist clients from a wide range of backgrounds. Prior to law school, Maria gained valuable legal experience as a bilingual real estate paralegal at Ward & Taylor, LLC and as an immigration legal assistant at Sweet & Paciorek LLC, where she supported attorneys and clients through complex legal matters involving real estate transactions and family-based immigration petitions.

Maria is passionate about client advocacy and helping individuals and families navigate important life transitions with compassion and care. Outside of her legal studies, she enjoys volunteering with organizations including the Garage Youth Center and Mighty Writers, as well as staying active through fitness and Pilates.

We are excited to have Maria on our team this summer and look forward to the contributions she will make to our clients and firm.

Welcome, Tia Johnson – Summer Associate

We are also pleased to welcome Tia Johnson as a Summer Associate beginning June 1. Tia is a first-generation law student and rising 2L at Widener University Delaware Law School with a strong interest in litigation.

Originally from Ohio, Tia chose to pursue her legal education in Delaware to take advantage of the state’s dynamic legal market. In addition to excelling academically — finishing her first semester in the top 10% of her class — Tia has balanced law school with part-time work at Discover Financial Services, where she has developed exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Tia was recently elected President of the Black Law Students Association for the 2026–2027 academic year, reflecting both her leadership abilities and dedication to serving her peers and community. We are thrilled to welcome Tia to Maven Law and are excited to support her continued professional growth this summer.

Welcome, Ellie Miller – Paralegal

Beginning June 8, we are excited to welcome Ellie Miller to the firm as our newest paralegal.

Ellie grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, and attended Concord High School, where she developed a strong passion for helping others and staying involved in her community. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware with a degree in Political Science and was a member of the inaugural class of Kappa Alpha Pi, the University of Delaware’s pre-law fraternity.

Ellie is eager to begin her career in estate and trust law and looks forward to assisting clients with important legal and financial matters while continuing to grow professionally within the legal field. Her commitment to advocacy and service is further reflected through her role as a Court Appointed Advocate, ensuring individuals have a voice within the legal system.

Outside of work, Ellie enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, going to the movies, and reading. We are excited to welcome Ellie to the Maven Law team and look forward to the care and dedication she will bring to our clients.

Looking Ahead

We are proud to invest in the next generation of legal professionals and grateful to welcome individuals who bring intelligence, compassion, and a strong commitment to service. Please join us in welcoming Maria, Tia, and Ellie to Maven Law, LLC.
